Dapp Best Practices

Split by Categorization

At present we've defined four major dapp categorizations. In the future this may be revisited with other categorizations included or simply added as subcomponents to the existing four.

We've added some best practices specific to the category of dapp as interface designs should follow similar flows. Of course, aesthetics and designs can and should be custom. But core user experience can be enhanced with best practice references.

This especially useful as a template for newer teams seeking to accelerate their building, while having the right mentality of following accessible design :)

Four Major Dapp Categorizations:

1. Exchanges / DEX

2. NFT Marketplaces

3. Governance Forums / DAOs

4. Portfolio / User Dashboards

• Category 4: Portfolio / User Dashboards, should be taken to include any data dashboard or landing page that would consist of DeFI based actions. This can include staking applications, lending platforms, data dashboards in general, etc

  • Naturally, it would be likely that best practices could be proposed for sub categories. For example some specific practices may pertain for staking dapps

  • At present, category 4 specific best practices appear to be applicable to all dapps in this category.
